The La Jolla Historical Society is pleased to announce that our twelfth annual Secret Garden Tour of Old La Jolla will be Saturday, May 15, 2010, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
This year's Tour promises once again to reveal gardens and homes that reflect the charm and often tucked-away hidden scenery of enduring La Jolla in full bloom. This year’s tour will again feature classic music performed by local musicians, displays by local designers and merchants, and La Jolla artists creating paintings, which capture each home and garden’s unique beauty.
To add to the excitement of the day and to preserve the privacy of our home owners, the locations of the gardens will be kept secret and will be revealed the day of the tour in the program booklet handed out to those with reservations, when they check in at Wisteria Cottage, the new home of La Jolla Historical Society.
Proceeds from this event directly benefit the La Jolla Historical Society and help us pursue our mission of preserving our extensive archives collection, developing oral history and walking tour programs, creating additional opportunities for community outreach and volunteer participation, enhancing our quarterly newsletter and website, and developing an exciting master plan for future public exhibitions.
