La Jolla Historical Society is proud to offer free tours of our historic property and exhibitions for learners of all ages! Tour attendees may choose thematic tours focused on regional history, architecture or exhibition program.

Regional History

Since time immemorial to modern day, La Jolla has a long and rich history. Study images, artifacts and documents to learn about how La Jolla has changed over time. Learn to make inferences about life and people long ago from the artifacts they left behind.

Architecture

LJHS has become a trusted steward of many architectural collections. Learn how La Jolla has contributed to the development of numerous architectural styles since the early 1900s.

Exhibitions

During this tour, a trained educator will guide your group in active looking and inquiry-based discussions, focusing on a selection of varied objects currently on view.

Group Visit Request Form

  • Tours are free of charge for school groups and based on availability. Inquire for pricing for adult tours.

  • Tours are limited in size for comfort and safety and can accommodate up to 25 individuals.

  • Tour attendees may choose thematic tours focused on regional history, architecture or the current exhibition, please specify.

  • We welcome groups ranging from kindergarten to college and beyond, please specify.
